You and Me

The night kisses the air
scented, oh so scented, wafting so blissfully
turquoise rays so subtly fall
blazing the ground with their presence

Early hours forgotten seamlessly
romanticism slides, consciously unaware
A smile playfully grandstands upon lips
the eyes know nothing of modesty

In the outside of it all,
simplicity of the spoken word
abounds in what need not be said
the wind picks up the sweet scent

Memories, thoughts, race ahead lightly
interloping to a subtle oneness
so much is known in the glistening orbs
lazy progression unfurls itself

A fluid heat escapes the shared air
prescience can only be cherished in this moment
surfaces seem to melt away to each other
All makes way for what will become again
